12th INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SACRED MUSIC AND ART
with the Vienna Philharmonic as orchestra in residence

The twelfth edition of the Festival Internazionale di Musica e Arte Sacra will be held in Rome and the Vatican from October 29th to November 10th, 2013 with the Vienna Philharmonic as orchestra in residence.

The foundation Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra that has organized the Festival in the last 12 years in the Papal Basilicas of Rome has decided to dedicate this year's Festival to the election of the new Pontiff: during the opening concert in fact, the Misa a Buenos Aires of the Argentinean composer Martín Palmeri will be performed (on October 29th on 9.00 pm in the Basilica St Ignatius Loyola) as a homage to His Holiness Pope Frances. The Festival's music program is rich and spiritually significant and as usual will be performed by world renowned artists, in front of an audience including important personalities from the Italian Republic and the Holy See.

Since 2002, the Festival Internazionale di Musica e Arte Sacra is organized in order to promote the institutional activities of the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra, which are the diffusion of sacred music and the restoration of precious architectural heritage and treasures of sacred art which are often contained in those Basilicas where the concerts take place. In the period 2013-2014 the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra finances or supports the following projects in the sectors of sacred music and art:

Participating financially with a contribution you will support the foundation's institutional activities so that the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra can organize sacred music projects and finance the restoration of sacred art.

We will be happy to meet you at the Festival Internazionale di Musica e Arte Sacra!
